Music app

MusicBee for Windows 10 is an almost perfect music app

MusicBee integrates a plethora of features into a highly customizable music player. It has all the standard features of a music player and many more that enrich the listening experience.

One of the best feature sets is MusicBee’s labeling and organization system. It automatically imports album art and other information from iTunes and other sources, but also gives you options to edit the information manually.

The application is available for free on Windows 10 PCs. If you prefer to download it outside of the Microsoft Store or if you are using a system running an older version of Windows, it is downloadable from their website.

Features galore

MusicBee does a lot of little things right. It has uninterrupted playback, 10- and 15-band EQs, device-to-device syncing, and even Grove Music streaming support (rest in peace).

It also has compact and mini reading menus. The mini reading menu flies over all the windows on your screen and presents a lot of information. When your cursor is over it you have music control options and when you do other things it shows a set of wavebars for song playback. You can also expand the mini play menu to view and select other songs on a playlist.

Besides playing music, it also supports auto tagging and manual tagging of multimedia information such as art and genres.

MusicBee has a services section which allows you to search and stream music directly from SoundCloud. You can also view music recommendations, upcoming music releases, and upcoming concerts in your area, although the concert information seems to only work in certain areas.

MusicBee has a tab-based interface that you can customize. You can add and remove tabs for things like music and playlists, and manually change the way panels appear in the app. The app also supports a number of skins, although many of them are artistic names like “Jazzberry Jam” which make you guess what they look like. The default design looks a lot like iTunes, but you can get away from it enough if you want.

MusicBee is a perfect example of features and options that many people will never touch. The default settings are nice and work well, so if you don’t want to mess around with the app you don’t have to, but for those who want to tailor the app to their tastes, there are plenty of options. .

Summarize things

MusicBee does not have any great features that make it a one of a kind app. Instead, the developers have come up with an app with so many features and options that the overall experience is great.

It’s not often that we review an app and can’t find flaws or ways to improve it. This app is very close to that. All we would ask to change about MusicBee is either a very specific nit-pick or something that depends on personal taste. If you have music or podcasts that you want to play on your PC, we definitely recommend you give MusicBee a try.
